2005 Scholar Andrew Hudson takes on Global Role
John Monash Scholar Andrew Hudson has taken on a new role at the leading international human rights organisation, Crisis Action. Hudson, who joined Crisis Action in 2010 after an outstanding career in human rights leadership, will transition from New York Director into a new global role as Deputy Executive Director. Andrew used his John Monash Scholarship to complete a Masters in Laws in Global Public Service Law from the New York University School of Law in 2006.
In the new role, Andrew will have oversight for the organisation’s eight international offices, as well as organisational strategy, finance and fundraising. Andrew will also lead Crisis Action’s expansion into emerging powers, such as Brazil and South Africa, as well its emergency response work helping civilians affected by sudden onset conflict.
